In Skopje, North Macedonia, on February 18 and 19, the first meeting (M1) was held within the project “Green trails of future”. The project aims to encourage the involvement of adolescents in outdoor sports, with a focus on trail running, and encourage environmental education of young people.
The goal of the project is to increase the number of adolescents in outdoor sports through trail running, because analyzes show that currently this sport is mostly practiced by the middle-aged population. The topic of the first project meeting was further coordination of project activities and a detailed introduction to the obligations of the project partners.
Also, this was an opportunity to personally meet the project partners and exchange experience in the field of nature protection. The project is implemented by organizations with rich experience in outdoor sports PK Tara (SRB), HG Idrija (SLO), TREX (NMK) and the Mountaineering Association of Serbia, and is co-financed by the European Union through the ERASMUS+ Sport 2022 program.
